It is one day to Halloween. The annual spooky and fun filled holiday is gaining momentum. Both young and old are making last minutes orders and shopping for their desired Halloween costumes. The Halloween party ideas and costumes are making headlines in blogs and news. People like celebrating Halloween like they do Christmas. Maybe even better than they celebrate Xmas, I can't say, I'm just guessing.
Top celebrities are already giving people ideas about costumes they can wear for the Halloween. Just yesterday, Kim Kardashian was wearing a long hair wig and a mermaid like flowing gown as she was by the side of her latest lover. That tell you that celebs are not left out in the costume craze for the Halloween. I know a considerable number would want to imitate Kim by putting a mermaid make up and costume come Halloween day. It is usual for people to wear what their favorite celebs is wearing on any special occasion or events.
When I consider the buzz and the rush for Halloween costumes, I then think to myself, what is in Halloween that makes people so excited and can't wait for the D-day. Do you know that many of us celebrate many of these holidays and we don't understand why we do. We just follow the trend and tradition that Halloween is a day for putting on spooky, scary and super heroes make ups and then throw a party. Do we have to wait for Halloween holiday before we catch fun and enjoy time out with friends and family.?
Do you know that Halloween is a contracted phrase from hallowed evening? Yes, it is. It is an age long tradition of the Scots and a time they worship and honor the god of the dead - Samahain. They believe that their dead loved ones are released from the spirit world and allowed to visit homes of their people expecting to get gifts from them. So, the people then leave gifts on the evening before the d-day for this spirits. If they come to any home and do not find any gifts, they bring disaster on such homes.
It was this festival of the dead that the Catholic church later incorporated into day to honor the dead saints. They now christened it hallowed evening meaning a holy evening to honor the dead saints. This is just one of the many pagan idolatrous worship that the roman Catholic church brought into the church annals as days to honor Jesus.
Can you see that Halloween is for honoring the god of the dead and spirit of dead ones. Does it make sense to celebrate such day? What joy is there in honoring dead ones that are gone and they know not what is happening anymore. And except you are into Satan worship, then celebrating Halloween is a worship to Satan - the god of the dead.
Guys, we need to know why we do things and not just follow people without asking questions about why they are doing it. Any way, our hedonistic tendency makes us want to keep having parties and catch fun not minding whatever it means or represents.
